Tim Brownell

Tim Brownell has spent the last 17 years of his career in education at The Brearley School, serving for eight years as a drama teacher, with a stint as Chair of the Drama Department, before his current role (nine years) as Head of Middle School Student Life. He is also the cofounder and prior owner/camp director of the popular overnight Maine summer camp Acting Manitou/Ghost Light Theater Camp. A published playwright for young people, he is the author of This Is Hamlet, performed by schools internationally. He has a bachelor’s degree in theater/English from Middlebury College and a master’s from Seton Hall University in school leadership, policy and management.
